If you were not able to attend the 2008 Beijing Olympics, now you can get your chance to see the iconic landmarks of the historic 29th Olympiad. You will meet your guide right at your hotel and be transported by air-conditioned coach service to the Olympic Park. Tour the National Stadium, known popularly as the "Bird's Nest." Wonder at the beauty and innovation of the unique architecture. The steel structure on the outside of the stadium truly does resemble a bird's nest and dominates the landscape of the Beijing Olympic Park. You will also walk inside the Bird's Nest to tour the stadium that hosted the legendary Beijing opening ceremony and the track and field events, in which athletes like Usain Bolt made history. Afterward, you will also visit the National Aquatics Center nearby, commonly known as the Water Cube. The Cube hosted all of the swimming and diving events, including Michael Phelps's legendary Olympic performances. This building has been converted recently into a water amusement park and still draws frequent visitors.

In this Beijing hutong tour, you will ride in a rickshaw, or pedicab, through the narrow streets of old Beijing. These hutongs are the old neighborhoods of Beijing, and they are still heavily populated by the local people, who cram into the homes in the hutong alleyways. While touring the hutong, you will also visit one of the homes of a Chinese family and learn about the traditions of hutong home life and its connection to the ancient past.
